How to determine if CPU or RAM or DISK is the bottleneck on Windows 7

If you notice that your system is consistently using a large percentage of any of these resources, it’s likely the cause of your bottleneck.

Finally, if you’re still unable to pinpoint the cause of your bottleneck, you can use a third-party tool such as PassMark PerformanceTest. PerformanceTest is a benchmarking tool that can measure the performance of your CPU, RAM, and disk. With this tool, you can compare the performance of your components to the performance of other similar systems. This can help you determine if your system’s components are indeed the cause of your bottleneck.
