How do you extract/install from an .iso file?

An ISO file is an archive file of an optical disc, such as a CD or DVD. It contains the exact copy of the data stored on the disc, which can be easily extracted and installed on your computer. The process of extracting and installing the contents of an ISO file is relatively straightforward and can be done with a few simple steps.

First, you need to download the ISO file on your computer. You can usually find ISO files of popular software on the internet, or you can create your own ISO file from an optical disc. Once the ISO file is downloaded, you need to open it using a file compression tool. Popular compression tools such as 7zip and WinRAR can be used to open an ISO file.

Once the ISO file is opened, you should see a list of files and folders in it. The files and folders in the ISO file represent the contents of the optical disc that the ISO file is based on. To extract the contents of the ISO file, simply select all the files and folders in the ISO file and extract them to a destination folder on your computer.

Once the contents of the ISO file are extracted, you can begin the installation process. Most ISO files contain an executable file that will launch the installation process when double-clicked. If there is no executable file in the ISO file, you can usually find the installation instructions in the Readme.txt file in the ISO file.

After the installation process is completed, you can begin using the software or files that were included in the ISO file. Depending on the type of ISO file, you may have to follow additional instructions in order to use the software or files. For example, an ISO file of an operating system usually requires you to create a bootable USB drive or DVD in order to install the operating system.

In summary, extracting and installing the contents of an ISO file is a relatively straightforward process. First, you need to download the ISO file and open it using a file compression tool. Then, extract the contents of the ISO file to a destination folder on your computer. Finally, launch the installation process by double-clicking the executable file in the ISO file, or by following the installation instructions in the Readme.txt file. After the installation process is completed, you can begin using the software or files included in the ISO file.
