K9 Web Protection is a free internet security software program from Blue Coat Systems, Inc. that helps protect home users from malicious websites, trackers, and other threats. The program also includes parental control features, allowing parents to control what websites their children can access.
Unfortunately, K9 Web Protection is not the easiest program to uninstall. It requires the K9 Admin password to be entered in order to uninstall the program, and if the password has been forgotten, it can be difficult to regain access. Fortunately, there is a way to uninstall K9 Web Protection without the K9 Admin password.
The first step is to open the Task Manager. This can be done by pressing the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys simultaneously and selecting Task Manager from the menu that appears.
Once the Task Manager is open, you can select the K9 Web Protection process and click End Process. This will terminate the K9 Web Protection process and allow you to uninstall the program without entering the K9 Admin password.
The next step is to open the Control Panel. This can be done by clicking the Start menu and selecting Control Panel.
Once the Control Panel is open, you can select Programs and Features and find K9 Web Protection in the list of programs. Select K9 Web Protection and click Uninstall.
This will bring up the K9 Web Protection Uninstall Wizard. When prompted, select the option to uninstall the program without entering the K9 Admin password. This will begin the uninstall process, and when it is complete, K9 Web Protection will be removed from your computer.
K9 Web Protection is a great security program, but if you need to uninstall it for any reason, you can do so without the K9 Admin password by following the steps outlined above. This can be especially helpful if the password has been forgotten, as it allows the program to be removed without having to reset the password.
