How can I run Process explorer ALWAYS as Administrator?

Process Explorer is a useful tool for IT administrators to analyze system performance and troubleshoot problems. It provides detailed information about the processes running on a computer, including the CPU, memory, and disk usage of each process, as well as a graphical view of the system's resources. Unfortunately, Process Explorer can only be run with administrator privileges, which can be an inconvenience for IT administrators who need to access the tool frequently.

Fortunately, there is an easy way to configure Process Explorer to run with administrator privileges every time it is launched. The first step is to open the Properties dialog for the Process Explorer executable (procexp.exe). This can be done by right-clicking on the Process Explorer icon, selecting \Properties\ from the context menu, and then selecting the \Compatibility\ tab.

In the Compatibility tab, check the box next to \Run this program as an administrator\. This will ensure that Process Explorer is always launched with administrative privileges. You can also configure additional options, such as disabling Windows UAC prompts, or allowing the program to run in compatibility mode with other operating systems.

Once you have configured the settings, click the \OK\ button to save your changes. From now on, whenever you launch Process Explorer, it will always run with administrative privileges. This will allow you to access all of the features of the program without having to manually launch it with administrator privileges every time.

It is important to note that running Process Explorer with administrator privileges can be dangerous, as it can allow malicious programs to access the system. Therefore, it is recommended that IT administrators only use this feature when absolutely necessary, and that they exercise caution when configuring the settings. Additionally, it is always a good idea to keep your system up to date with the latest security patches to further protect yourself from malicious programs.

By following the steps outlined above, IT administrators can easily configure Process Explorer to run with administrator privileges every time it is launched. This will save time and effort, and ensure that the program can always be used when needed.
