Can Notepad++ be made to open file links in itself?

When it comes to managing a network of computers, there are a lot of tasks that must be carried out. One of the most important tasks is making sure that the applications and programs used by the users are configured correctly. This includes making sure that the applications open the correct files when a user clicks a link. For example, if a user clicks on a link to an Excel file, it should open the file in Excel and not in Notepad.

Unfortunately, it is not always easy to configure the applications correctly. This is especially true in the case of Windows Notepad, which is the standard text editor included with the Windows operating system. By default, Notepad is the application that is used to open file links. This means that if a user clicks on a link to an Excel file, it will open the file in Notepad instead of Excel.

Fortunately, it is possible to configure Notepad so that it does not open file links. The first step is to open Notepad and go to the File menu. Next, click on the “View” tab and then select the “Open With” option. This will bring up a list of applications that can be used to open file links. In the list, select the application that should be used to open the file links. In this case, it should be Excel.

Once the correct application is selected, click on the “Set as Default” button. This will make sure that any links clicked by the user will open in that application. If the application is not listed in the list, then it can be added by clicking on the “Add” button. This will allow the user to browse for the application on their computer.

It is also possible to configure Notepad to open certain file types in different applications. For example, if a user clicks on a link to an Excel file, it can be configured so that the file is opened in Excel and not in Notepad. To do this, click on the “Advanced” button and then select the “File Types” option. This will bring up a list of file types and the applications that can be used to open them. Select the file type that should be opened in the desired application and click on the “Set as Default” button.

As an IT admin, it is important to make sure that file links are opened in the correct applications. This can be done by configuring Notepad so that it does not open file links. The steps outlined above can be followed to configure Notepad so that it opens file links in the desired application. This will ensure that the users of the network are able to access the correct files when they click on a link.
