Automatically sync Windows time more often than default

Time synchronization is an important part of any IT system. It ensures that all computers and devices in the network are running on the same time, allowing for efficient communication and collaboration. Unfortunately, the default setting for Windows does not sync time often enough for many businesses. Fortunately, there are several ways to ensure that Windows systems synchronize their time more often.

The first thing to do when trying to sync Windows time more often is to change the default synchronization interval. This can be done by going to Control Panel, clicking on Date and Time, then choosing Internet Time and clicking the Change Settings button. From here, you can select whether you want to synchronize your clock on a daily or weekly basis. You can also specify the exact time to sync.

If your network has multiple computers, you can also use a time server to synchronize their time. A time server is a computer that keeps an accurate time, and it can be used to synchronize the time on other computers in the network. To do this, you will need to install a time server software on the server and configure it to synchronize with a reliable time source, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Another option is to use a tool such as NetTime to periodically synchronize the time on all computers in the network. NetTime is a freeware program that can be used to synchronize the time on multiple computers in the same network. To use NetTime, you will need to configure the program with the IP address of the time server, and then configure the computers in the network to synchronize with the server.

Finally, you can also use a third-party tool such as Time Sync to synchronize the time on multiple computers in the network. Time Sync is a paid program that can be used to sync time on multiple computers in the same network. It has a user-friendly interface and allows you to set the synchronization interval and specify which computers should be synchronized.

By taking advantage of these tools, you can ensure that Windows systems in your network are synchronized more often. This will help ensure that all computers in the network are running on the same time, which will improve communication and collaboration.
